Starting with Paragraphs on Conceptual Art by Sol Lewitt (published in Art Forum, June 1967) I recorded myself reading the text aloud, then created a new document by transcribing that audio. I repeated the process with each new document for a total of 36 documents, mirroring Lewitt’s 36 Sentences on Conceptual Art. This work was inspired by Hyang Cho’s Trial 3, except that each iteration depends completely on the previous iteration rather than existing separately from each other.

The headphones on the left play the first audio; the headphones on the right play the 35th (and final) audio.
